Ingredients
100g Plain Flour
100g Caster Sugar
100g Butter
2 Eggs
Few drops of vanilla essence

Line baking frays with 12 paper cases

Sift the flour into a bowl

In a separate bowl cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy

Beat the eggs together in a jug then start slowly adding the eggs, flour and essence to the butter and sugar

Divide the mixture into the paper cases

Cook for 20 minutes at 180c gas mark 4 until golden brown

Place on a cooking rack

Butterfly Cakes
Filling ingredients
50 g Butter
100g Icing sugar
2 tsp hot water

Beat the butter until soft then slowly add the icing sugar and water

Make fairy cakes

To make the butterfly wings cut out a circle from the top of the fairy cake leaving some space round the edge

Fill the hole in the fairy cake with the butter cream

Cut the circle in half and put it into the butter cream like wings
