100g Butter
397g can condensed milk

few drops of vanilla essence
150g chocolate

1
Place flour in a bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs
2
Stir in the sugar
3
Knead into a smooth dough
4
Grease and put baking parchment in the base of a 28 x 18 x 3 cm tin then press the dough in the tin
5
Make sure the dough is even pushing it down with the back of a wooden spoon
Cook the base at 150c gas mark 3 for 25 minutes until it is golden brown
8
While the base is cooking start on the topping - put the butter , condensed milk and brown sugar into a pan and lightly heat until all the ingredients are melted together then boil for 5 minutes making sure you stir continuously
9
Add the vanilla essence and beat well
10
Pour evenly over the cooked base and leave to cool
11
Break the chocolate up into a heat proof bowl and melt over a pan of boiling water
12
Spraed the melted chocolate evenly over the topping and allow to fully set before taking out of the tin
